Hey their folks.

Just thought i'd better start updating my journal every once in a while, first post in two years! Sorry if you got all my deviations popping up in your inbox, my few select followers, i recently went through and put copyright info on all of them in response to an incident with a 'friend' posting my photos without my consent on his website. Tis all resolved, but just thought i'd better take another precaution against it.

Photography news:
I won the people's choice award at my school's photography competition for a photo which isn't actually on here, i should upload it. The prize winner as chosen by the judge wins a canon 500d + kit lens, but i have no idea what i'll win... We'll have to wait and find out, on the 16th of June, which also happens to be my birthday hah.

My Gear:
If you were wondering what i shoot my photos with, my bag contains:
A Pentax K20D
Sigma 18-200 f3.5-6.3 - this is the lens that is pretty much constantly on my camera, usefull for a massive variety of situations, but i really want to upgrade to something with better iq, the corner sharpness is shocking, as i recently found out trying to take a group portrait that filled the frame hah.

Asahi Pentax 55mm f1.8 - My portrait lens, it's fully manual, i have to use stop down metering to use anything other than the f1.8. Manual focus as well, which is fun, and was a challenge when i started using it. Would love to upgrade to a sigma 50mm f1.4...

Pentax 35-70 f2.8 - this lens was second hand, and was converted to a 70mm prime by the previous owner. I don't use it too much, on occasion.

Tokina 100-300 f5.6-6.3 - The lens i use for sport. All plastic, pretty flimsy the iq isn't great. The auto focus is rather exceptionally slow hah. Ah well.

The bag itself is a Lowepro Fastpack 250. Great bag, i bought it so my laptop could fit in it as well. It doesn't though hahaha. It would if the zip extended further around the top, the laptop would fit, if i could get it in the bag hah.

I also have my dad's old Metz 32 CT 7 flash, which i use on manual occasionally. It's fun to muck around with. I've got his old no name flash umbrella too.

Wishlist:
A Sigma 70-200 f2.8 - To use both for sport and low light event/gig photography. Hopefully will be able to get it for my birthday in a month...
A Pentax Battery Grip - Should have enough money to be able to get one soon...
Sigma 10-20 f4-5.6 - To get some wide angle in there!
Pentax 31mm f1.8 Limited. Totally never going to happen, but one can dream...
